History

The program was established in 1989 and was considered to be the first of its kind with First Nations Communities in Canada. Kainai Community Corrections Society is an entity of the Blood Tribe and is operated under a Board of Directors on a contract agreement with the Alberta Solicitor General Department and Public Security.
